There is no such thing as cheap and expensive tyres! The type of tyre you choose depends on your cars make and model, the desired performance, your driving style and the road conditions.
There are 5 different types of tyre.
All Weather - these tyres are suited to any weather conditions.
Wet Weather - specifically manufactured to suit wet weather conditions.
All Terrain - will suit any terrain in most conditions.
Mud - these tyres are best suited to muddy conditions.
Performance - performance tyres will supply the driver with the highest performance.

The tyre types differ in the rubber compound used (soft or hard) and the tread patterns. These can affect driving in terms of grip, performance, tyre noise and wear.
